Dave reviewed the success of the can drive this past weekend. We were in competition with the boy scouts and another club for cans and bottles.
 
Dave reviewed details from the January NYSMA meeting:
  • State race dates are set for each club.
  • Restrictor plate change was explained to change to the purple flat plate. The board voted and it was passed.
  • March 1st Tech meeting at Dave garage.
Fundraising:
  • Cases of candy bars are available. Contact Dave.
  • April 11th Chicken BBQ and can drive. This will be at Doug's power sports.  Volunteers needed!
  • April 19th pancake breakfast at Applebees. Tickets will be available at time of March signup. Volunteers needed! and must be 16 years of age and older. 50/50 raffle.
Important Dates/Race Date for the 2009 Season:
  • March 8th Members general information/registration meeting at the Homer Fire Hall @ 2pm.
  • April 18th @ 9:00 track cleanup and tech for cars.  Volunteers needed to help get ready for the season.
  • April 25th @ 9:00 track cleanup and tech for cars.  Volunteers needed to help get ready for the season.
  • April 26th @ 1pm New drivers practice and orientation. Finish track cleanup projects.

Track improvements: Concession stand bulletin board with plexiglass. Upgrade lights and caution light.
 
Other business:
  •  Wrist bands to wear in the pit area. Due to insurance reasons we really need to limit the pit area to those who need to be there.  
Next meeting will be March 5th at 6:30.
