The Mid-State Microd Club (formerly Cortland County Microd Club) offers a unique and exciting racing experience for boys and girls in Central New York. Children aged 5-18 yrs. learn to maintain and drive "micro-hotrods" or "microds" (similar to go-karts, but with more protection for the driver). The Mid-State Microd Club is a not for profit organization, and a member of the New York State Microd Association
(NYSMA). Together with other microd clubs, we offer seasonal racing (usually April to September) at various microd tracks around New York, including "Invitational" races that allow different microd clubs to come together for larger competitions. Microd racing not only provides a racing experience for children, it also fosters family involvement, driving and mechanical skills, building, and sportsmanship.
